  Aviation

is the design, development, production, operation, and use of aircraft, especially heavier-than-air aircraft. Aviation is derived from avis, the Latin word for bird.

General aviation

General aviation includes all non-scheduled civil flying, both private and commercial. General aviation may include business flights, air charter, private aviation, flight training, ballooning, parachuting, gliding, hang gliding, aerial photography, foot-launched powered hang gliders, air ambulance, crop dusting, charter flights, traffic reporting, police air patrols and forest fire fighting.

Each country regulates aviation differently, but general aviation usually falls under different regulations depending on whether it is private or commercial and on the type of equipment involved.

Many small aircraft manufacturers serve the general aviation market, with a focus on private aviation and flight training.

The most important recent developments for small aircraft (which form the bulk of the GA fleet) have been the introduction of advanced avionics (including GPS) that were formerly found only in large airliners, and the introduction of composite materials to make small aircraft lighter and faster. Ultralight and homebuilt aircraft have also become increasingly popular for recreational use, since in most countries that allow private aviation, they are much less expensive and less heavily regulated than certified aircraft.

It is the world's heaviest aircraft. The design, built in order to transport the Buran orbiter, was an enlargement of the successful Antonov An-124. The An-225's name, Mriya (Мрiя) means "Dream" (Inspiration) in Ukrainian.
The first An-225 was completed in 1988 and a second An-225 has been partially completed. The completed An-225 is in commercial operation with Antonov Airlines carrying oversized payloads.

History of Aviation in Colombia!!!

This aircraft Junker, and the same type, were part of the first fleet of the airline orcompany SCADTA Colombo German Air Transport, later Avianca. Low-wing monoplaneof all metal construction and had the engines modified to operate efficiently in the climate of the country. Were 9.50 meters long and 3.50 meters high. Their flight was 850kilometers and could carry up to 4 passengers, plus two crew.

Due to the topography of the country, the Junkers were adapted two floats for water landings in the rivers of different populations. Thus, the October 20, 1919 and following the course of the Magdalena River, Helmuth Von Krohn made the first flight intoColombia from Barranquilla to Girardot. There were eight hours with four emergency landings included. Girardot was established and on a scale of the ships on their waybetween Neiva and Barranquilla.
AVIATION STORIES

It is only now that we have known the ingenuity and creativity of Russian aircraft designers before the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.One of those names lost in time is the Russian army officer Bezobrazov Aleksander, who assisted Mr. FE Moska triplane designed a strange game. The project began as a private venture and was completed in 1914, its unusual design features were noted as were very advanced for its time. The aircraft that preceded the First World War was full of great ideas and designs that mostly served to achieve anything but to fly, partly because no one knew exactly how it should have a plane.
